Could you prove it tomorrow?

The Balanita audit-ready training records scorecard is a free 15-question check for L&D, HR and training teams who need to prove training to auditors and inspectors. The questions cover how you record, assign and report training, and each one takes Yes, Partly or No. You see your score straight away, and the full report comes by email.

What you get

  • A score out of 30 and your band, on screen straight away.
  • A full report by email, with why each gap matters.
  • What to fix first, and a free 30-minute score review if you want one.

Section 1 of 5 Your records

1. If an auditor asked today, could you produce a list of everyone overdue on a required course within one hour?
2. Is every completion record stored in one system, not split across spreadsheets, email and paper?
3. Does each record show who completed, which version of the course, the date, and the score or sign-off?
4. Can you see training history going back as far as your auditors or inspectors usually ask?

Section 2 of 5 Expiry and assignment

5. Do you track expiry dates per person for certificates that renew (for example, food safety or first aid), not just one fixed annual date?
6. Are new joiners assigned their required training automatically, by role or location, without someone remembering to do it?
7. When someone changes role or branch, does their required training update without manual work?

Section 3 of 5 Reminders and reporting

8. Do overdue reminders go out without anyone on your team sending them by hand?
9. Is there a defined point at which overdue training is escalated, and to whom?
10. Can a branch, outlet or department head see their own team's status without asking HR?
11. Can you produce the same report in the same format every month without rebuilding it?

Section 4 of 5 Continuity and oversight

12. If the one person who runs your training system left tomorrow, could someone else pull these reports next week?
13. Are certificates and records still accessible and complete after a system update or change of supplier?
14. Do you know where your training data is hosted and who can access it?
15. Could you show leadership completion and overdue rates by site or business unit in one view?

Section 5 of 5 Where should we send your report?

Your score shows on the next screen. The full report, with a note on every gap, comes by email.

We use your details and answers to send your report and, if you tick the second box, the follow-up emails. Our privacy policy (opens in a new tab) explains who processes them and how long we keep them.
